Account data: username and email address, collected at registration.
Financial event data: transactions, asset prices, and related events that you enter into ChronoLedger. This data belongs to you.
Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, pages visited). These are used for security and debugging only and are not shared with third parties.

We do not collect payment data at this time. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to any third party.

3. Why we process your data

To provide and operate the ChronoLedger service (contract basis).
To send password reset emails (legitimate interest / service operation).
To maintain server security and diagnose errors (legitimate interest).

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers hosted by DigitalOcean (Amsterdam, EU). We apply standard security practices (HTTPS, hashed passwords, environment-based secrets). No security measure is 100% guaranteed; use ChronoLedger at your own risk.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Object to or restrict processing of your data.
Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (scenarios, events, prices) will be permanently removed within 30 days.

ChronoLedger uses only a session cookie required for login. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

8. US users (CCPA)
